Gardeners Delight

The date of Gardeners Delight 2026 is 13/14 June and detailed below are the gardens opening

2pm – 6pm except the first garden listed

Tickets cost £7.50 per adult and are valid both days. Children are free of charge.

Please bring cash for entry and plant/tea sales.

Nearly an acre of lawn, mixed flower beds, woodland and meadow areas. Raised vegetable beds and a fruit cage. Garden access to Colley Hill. Roses and other plants for sale.

A large suburban garden with  a good selection of plants and trees. It’s loved but not manicured; and next door there is an interesting lifelong collection of cacti and semitropical plants which you can also visit.

A one-acre plot previously opened for the NGS. Features include Mediterranean Folly, Japanese garden, Shade Garden, two ponds and large vegetable and fruit plot. Front garden with shrubs and Hartley Botanic greenhouse.

Cobbles and shingle support grasses and self-sown plants backed by a bubble fountain. Annuals, phlox and many later following herbaceous plants ensure colour well into September. A garden for all seasons.  Still opening for NGS AFTER 35 YEARS , well worth a visit as always something new to see .
